*Updated in response to club’s response.* Predatory membership policies and disgusting bathrooms! Staff are rude and dismissive when you question their ridiculous policies. RESPONSE: The contract I signed actually has my minor child listed as the primary member and no where does it give a minimum age for membership. We just want the access to registering for swim lessons we’ve paid for already. Im truly asking what is the reasoning for charging kids on an annual basis if not to keep money when the parents inevitably cancel mid year? Most importantly the contract says “Cascade Athletic Clubs have no obligation to refund any prepaid membership fees, except as provided by law.” Here is the actual law, “The buyer is entitled to a refund of the unused portion of any prepaid use fees or dues and relief from future obligations to pay use fees or dues concerning use after the date of cancellation.” (RCW 19.142.050) Sounds like an obligation to me. I’ll be filing a complaint with the AGO. Original review: Cascade charges child memberships on an annual basis, but the rest of the family is charged monthly. I tried to cancel mine and my husband’s membership and keep my child’s membership so

Pros: Nice facility with a wide variety of equipment that is well maintained with well designed areas for weightlifting vs stretching vs cardio. Locker rooms clean and spacious. Very friendly front desk. Overall would recommend although I decided not to sign up for membership due to sauna conditions. Cons: Sauna is unsanitary. I tried the 3 day pass specifically to use the sauna in the upcoming winter months. People are in there with sneakers, not only the base level (concrete) but on the second and third level. Shoes do not belong in the sauna. It feels like a pre-workout social spot instead of a calming heat session.

I appreciate CAC for the top-notch facilities, but really, I come for the dedicated members and my amazing trainer, Hanna Shevliakova, who I cannot recommend enough! After years away from fitness, I started training with Hanna, and the transformation has been incredible. She took me from feeling physically weak to feeling strong and capable. She even helped me resolve a month-long muscle strain in just one session by teaching me proper conditioning and recovery techniques. If you want a trainer who is knowledgeable, attentive, and challenges you—Hanna is the one.

Facility is clean. Not too crowded. Machines in good shape. Only 1 channel on TV on elliptical machine is boring. Lots of icons on machine like Netflix that don’t work. Soap in shower doesn’t seem good; not sure if this is meant for both body and hair. Nice to have hair dryers in locker room but only blow very hot air. Would be good to have water fountain in pool area.

Really nice facility, clean and updated. My friend said for a family of 2 adults 1 child is $130/mo. They have a cool rock wall, a salt water pool, sauna, outdoor lap pool with a super fun splash pad! The snack shack is ok. The prices are steep... $4.50 for a small hotdog (definitely not encouraging eating that food and I'm surprised they don't offer more healthy snacks). Better than nothing, but they should allow outside food and drinks if they don't offer much at the snack shack. No towels are provided. Adult guests are $20 each for the splash pad / lap pool area. It closes promptly at 7pm. Indoors, they have child care available and all the classes you would want. Plus there's a little Café up front. We were members a long time ago, but now just come as my friend's guests since we live too far to make this work for us. We wish they'd have a facility between Battle Ground and Salmon Creek!
